United States abbreviated with the US , is a state constitutional republic federal consisting of fifty states and a federal district. The country is located in the central part of North America, which became the location of the forty-eight states side by side, along with the districts of the capital city of Washington, DC, United States is flanked by the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic in the west and the east, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south.
